Luxuriant, expressive and exuberant nature embraces echoes of ancient architecture: this is Foulard, the new capsule collection created by artist/designer Antonello Blandi for Palais Royal.
Against a background of graphic elements evoking bas-reliefs and frescoes from ancient residences, bursts a riot of dynamic floral compositions, a veritable sensorial explosion. This collection expertly combines colours and materials so as to introduce a distinctive style into different domestic environments. In fact, the collection includes homeware products such as vases and trinket bowls, products for well-being such as room fragrance diffusors and soap dispensers, and naturally conviviality at the table, expressed in both porcelain, a traditional material for the brand who is also a qualified producer, and melamine, for more casual gatherings outdoors.So, here we have daily life as a unique, all-embracing scenario, just like a Foulard.
Who is Who
Antonello Blandi is a graphic artist and painter from Sicily. He caught the eye of Google who subsequently inserted him as the only artist from the region in the 2017 Google Camp in Menfi, also the Corriere della Sera newspaper included him in their national “the beauty of Italy” tour. He is particularly popular with overseas interior designers who employ his creativity in their projects, his works describe a version of Sicily through fantastic, atmospheric drawings which is very different from the stereotype.
